Sipping Socials are unique pop-up tasting experiences that celebrate local food and businesses in New Mexico.
Upcoming: Summer Sips and Nibbles on July 20, 5:30 – 7pm
1005 S St Francis, Santa Fe
Professor Fritz Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse with Vermont Creamery Coupole and Heidi’s Raspberry Jam
A bright, tart beer, made by brewing superstar Professor Fritz Briem, pairs magically with a delicate goat cheese that smacks of lemon zest and homemade fudge. A dab of raspberry jam emulates the fruity syrup often added to Berliner Weisse in Germany to offset the tang.
Conde Villar Alvarino with Le Jeune Autize
A floral, abundant white with just a hint of frizzante cuts through the custardy paste of this nutty, meaty goats’ milk take on French classic Morbier.
Hecht et Bannier Languedoc Blanc with Fleur du Maquis
On the island of Corsica, young sheep milk tommes are coated in herbs like rosemary, wild thyme, and juniper berries; paired with a vivid and full white with aromas of lively citrus and reminders of its seaside provenance.
Schloss Gobelsburg Gobelsburger Cistercien Rosé with Dalmatinac
A blended milk Croatian cheese made from native breed sheep milk from the Adriatic island of Pag, Dalmatinac boasts flavors of olive, sage, and lamb chop, at home alongside aromas of tart summer berries, fresh rose petals, and delicately spicy flavors of the Austrian rosé.
